Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Botmetria: the botmetria.com website, the Botmetria cloud API (api.botmetria.com), the Botmetria dashboard and the Botmetria WordPress plugin and SDKs. By connecting a store or creating an account you accept these terms. Botmetria is operated by Vitalii, a private individual (sole operator). Contact: info@botmetria.com.

1. What the service does

Botmetria records visits by AI crawlers and AI-assistant referrals to your online store, attributes orders to those referrals, measures how your store appears in AI assistants' answers, and lets you control which AI crawlers get access. Processing happens on our servers; the plugin and pixel are the connectors.

2. The plugin is free and works without us

The Botmetria WordPress plugin is free software under GPLv2 or later. Its local features — AI firewall, JSON-LD, llms.txt, the markdown twin and the product feed — work with no cloud account and no key. Nothing in the plugin is locked behind a licence, a trial period or a quota. You may study, modify and redistribute it under the GPL.

3. Your account and your data

You keep ownership of the data your store sends. We process it to provide the service and to compute anonymised network benchmarks as described in the Privacy Policy. You can export your raw data at any time and ask us to delete your site and its analytics; deletion is irreversible.

You are responsible for keeping your API key and HMAC secret private, and for having the right to send us the data your store sends.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to send us personal data about shoppers beyond what the plugin collects by design, to attack or overload our API, to resell raw access without a written agreement, or to break the law of your country.

We apply rate limits to protect the service for everyone. Sustained abuse may lead to suspension; we will tell you why.

5. Paid plans, billing and cancellation

Paid plans are billed in advance for the period you choose. Prices are shown on the pricing page and include any taxes stated there. You can cancel at any time from the dashboard; cancellation stops the next charge and the plan stays active until the end of the paid period. Refunds are described in the refund policy.

We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by e-mail. A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for.

6. Availability

We aim for continuous availability but do not promise uninterrupted service. If our cloud is unreachable, the plugin keeps collecting events locally and delivers them when the connection returns, so measurement gaps do not become data loss. Planned maintenance is announced in the dashboard.

7. What we do not promise

Botmetria measures and reports; it does not guarantee that your store will appear in any AI assistant's answers, that any crawler will visit you, or that blocking a crawler will have a particular commercial effect. Figures shown in the dashboard are measurements with the limits stated next to them.

The service is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; material changes are announced by e-mail at least 30 days in advance, and the date above always shows the current version. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new terms. You may stop using the service at any time by deleting your site in the dashboard.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Moldova. Nothing here removes consumer rights you have under the law of your own country.
