AI bots already crawl your catalogue. The question is what they actually read

Botmetria shows what AI assistants can see in your store, fixes what they can't read, and counts the money the AI channel brings — so the first AI orders land with you, not next door.

Step 1: check if AI agents can see you

Instant 0–100 score — right here, no email needed.

In three weeks AI bots made 345,633 requests to the 3 stores on our panel. Ordinary analytics never shows this traffic: bots do not run JavaScript.

Blind spots

Why GA4, Cloudflare and SEO tools won't show you this

Four tools a store usually already runs — and the blind spot in each of them. Each covers just one piece; Botmetria brings the whole AI channel together in one place.

What it does
What it can't do — and what Botmetria adds
Google Analytics 4Counts clicks by real people and orders in your store.
Blind to server-side bot crawling, and it files visits from AI assistants under "direct". Botmetria counts bot visits on the server and ties an AI referral to the actual order and revenue.
Cloudflare — Bot Management, AI Crawl ControlLets bots in or keeps them out at the infrastructure level.
It never answers what that traffic is worth, doesn't make your pages readable for agents and doesn't let an agent buy. Botmetria adds analytics, catalogue fixes and agent checkout — with a guard rail: Google and Bing are never blocked. DDoS and WAF stay with Cloudflare.
Semrush and GEO tools (Otterly, Peec)Run prompts and watch assistant answers from the outside.
They can't see who actually crawls your site and don't connect a mention to a visit and an order; pricing targets marketing teams. Botmetria watches both sides — server and shopper — at a small store's price.
"Just a WooCommerce plugin"Drops tags and files onto the site.
No bot verification against vendor IP ranges, nothing outside WordPress, no storefront for agents. Botmetria connects four ways: the plugin, SDKs for PHP and Node.js, or a storefront straight from your product feed.

We replace none of them: GA4 stays your web analytics, Cloudflare your perimeter defence, GEO tools watch assistant answers from the outside. Botmetria covers what none of them has: the server side of AI traffic, catalogue readability, and the path from visit to order.

What's inside

Your whole AI channel — in one place

How it works

How it works

01

Connect your store

The WooCommerce plugin, a Composer or npm SDK, or a storefront from your product feed — 15–30 minutes. Detection adds under 5 ms per request.

02

Agents find you and buy

The agent finds your catalogue at a standard address, reads prices and availability, builds a cart and brings the shopper into your checkout — the payment stays with you. Every bot visit is verified against the vendor's official IPs.

03

You see everything and stay in control

A dashboard and a weekly report: traffic, orders and revenue from AI sources. Bot control decides which bots reach your server.

The market right now

We audited the market — to AI assistants it is still nearly invisible

63

MD/RO online stores audited against 30+ criteria

38 / 100

median AI-readiness score

52 %

of them are invisible to AI assistants (score ≤ 40)

The score is not points for the sake of points. At one panel store, out of 606,017 requests from a single AI vendor, 8 reached product pages. At the machine-readable store on the same panel — 73,715 product pages read. The difference is not in points; it is whether your product makes it into the assistant's answer.

One broken thing

49 of 63 stores are broken in exactly the same way

JSON-LD Product: the product page has no machine-readable name, price and currency. So to an agent you have no price — and your product may never make it into the assistant's answer. This is not an edge case: almost the entire market we audited is broken this way.

WooCommerce — the plugin fixes it

Product markup, markdown versions of your pages and llms.txt switch on in one click, in 15 minutes. We do not sell a separate service for it.

Why monitoring

Why a subscription and not a one-off check

Your store keeps changing

The score is recalculated weekly and the delta lands in your inbox. A new theme, a plugin update or one robots.txt edit can shut assistants out of your catalogue again — without a recheck you find out months later.

Catalogues break quietly

We validate the product feed and show catalogue gaps in the weekly report: items with no price, no availability or no image. Those are exactly the items that may never reach an assistant's answer — the agent sees neither price nor stock.

The market moves faster than you do

New bots and new agent storefronts keep appearing. The weekly report and the public AI traffic index show what changed on the market this month: which bots arrived and how catalogue readability is shifting.

A one-off check you can do by hand. Monitoring you can't.

Live demo

Watch an AI agent buy from a store

A live test against a real store: the agent reads the UCP manifest, opens the catalog, picks a product, builds a cart and reaches checkout. No order is placed — payment always stays with the store.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Will it slow my site down?

No. Detection adds under 5 ms and makes no external requests while the page renders. Events are sent asynchronously, after the visitor gets the response.

What data do you collect?

Only AI bot visits (URL, page type, response code) and aggregated visits/orders from AI sources. Shoppers' IP addresses are never sent; no personal data is collected.

How much does it cost?

Free during the beta. After it: Free €0 (one-off audit and badge), Starter €19/mo, Pro €49/mo. The first 20 connected stores keep these prices forever.

How long does onboarding take?

WooCommerce — install the plugin, 15 minutes. A storefront from a feed — also 15 minutes, no code. The PHP or Node.js SDK and the Cloudflare worker — about an hour, no server access needed.

My robots.txt blocks bots — is that bad?

Depends which ones. Blocking scrapers is right; blocking GPTBot or PerplexityBot means vanishing from ChatGPT and Perplexity answers. The audit shows who you're blocking today.

I get almost no AI traffic — why bother now?

That is the reason. Median AI readiness across 63 Moldovan and Romanian stores is 38/100: the market is still nearly invisible to assistants, and our index records zero AI-attributed orders so far. The first machine-readable stores will take the first orders, and checking costs nothing.

I'm not on WordPress — does this work for me?

Yes. Four ways to connect: the WooCommerce plugin, the PHP SDK (Composer), the Node.js SDK (npm), or an agent storefront built straight from your product feed — no code. It usually takes 15–30 minutes.

Why should I trust you?

We publish what we measure with: the audit methodology, the public MD/RO store rating and a monthly AI traffic index with raw numbers and the method's limits. The site itself is built to its own methodology — it has llms.txt, a markdown version of every page and JSON-LD. Check us with our own audit: put botmetria.com into the form above.
